Derek Boyd is a technology executive with over two decades of hands-on leadership across some of Canada's most recognizable brands — bringing a rare combination of strategic vision and real operational experience to every engagement.

His career spans complex, high-demand environments: overseeing technology at Canucks Sports & Entertainment, driving digital operations at Joey Restaurants, leading IT across Georgia Main Food Group, and building e-commerce infrastructure at Spud.ca. That breadth — across hospitality, retail, sport, and e-commerce — means Derek understands what technology looks like under pressure, at scale, and with real stakes.

Armed with an MBA in Technology Management from Simon Fraser University, Derek founded Boyd & Co to give growing businesses access to the kind of clear-headed, independent technology leadership that was previously reserved for large enterprise.
